Mindfulness means learning to pay attention to our thoughts and feelings without judging them by maintaining moment-by-moment awareness.

Mindfulness Classes

Beginners Mindfulness Meditation

With Justin Iles
1st & 3rd Sundays 7pm to 8:30pm (check Timetable for dates)

Learn to sit in silence, watching the flow of thoughts and emotions. Noticing how the longer you watch, the more they settle and become quiet – like snowflakes in a globe. Over time, big thoughts and worries no longer seem so big, the mind starts to feel a bit more spacious and those little moments of peace start getting longer and more frequent.

Secular Buddhist Meditation Group

Alternate Sundays 10am to 11:30am (check the Timetable for dates)

This group brings a Secular Buddhist approach to mindfulness meditation, meeting at our centre on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of each month. The problems that we have in life can be summarised in this way: getting what we don't want and wanting what we can't have. Being wholehearted and compassionately present in all of our activities is the essence of this practice. By gently noticing the nature and movements of body and mind, we begin to find direction. Open to all those with an interest or practice in mindfulness meditation.
