What do I need to bring to my yoga class?
As a fully resourced yoga studio, Central Wellness has all the equipment you will need for your class. That said, if you have your own you are very welcome to bring stuff with you.
Additionally, some people like to have a water bottle with them and perhaps a jumper for relaxation periods.
What does a yoga class cost?
We have a couple of pricing options for you to consider.
A “drop-in” single class payment of £10
A 5 class package payment of £45 (equals £9 / class)
A 10 class package payment of £80 (equals £8 / class)
Single classes and packages can all be purchased from here.
Is yoga good for (insert your health condition)?
Although in a general sense, we would suggest that yoga classes are a great form of exercise, it is beyond our skillset to advise on a wide variety of sometimes complex conditions. Our honest answer would be, “Please ask your GP for an opinion.”
To be honest, GP’s and physios often suggest yoga but it’s worth checking first.
Find me a beginners class
It’s difficult to give a definitive answer to what is a beginners yoga class as everyone comes to the yoga mat with different profiles and backgrounds. However, on our timetable you will see that all of our classes are Level 1 (beginner friendly) and some are also Level 2 (which will offer more challenging options to those more experienced practitioners). If you would like further advice please email hello@centralwellness.uk and we’ll help you.
Explain the styles of yoga you offer
Brief descriptions
Vinyasa yoga – A dynamic practice that prioritizes movement between postures just as much as the postures themselves. A great style of yoga to energize the body, build strength, balance and flexibility whilst leaving feeling calm and content.
Yin yoga – A slow-paced practice where postures are held for several minutes at a time to promote the releasing of tension and feeling of quiet serenity.
Restorative yoga – Gentle, supported posture designed to offer maximum relaxation for body and mind. Expect the use of lots of props to support the natural healing qualities of the body.
Ashtanga yoga – A vinyasa yoga practice that has set sequences to follow and which provides a strong, physical challenge to students. Repetition of postures develops skillfulness and in time a confidence to practice alone.
Pilates – Mat pilates is a class aimed at providing core strength, improved mobility of the spine and an overall awareness of body awareness.
