Increasing awareness of body alignment in yoga asana will help you to work more intelligently in your practice whilst avoiding unnecessary wear and tear on your joints and other vulnerable areas.
In this practical workshop we will consider some of the fundamental alignment principles and how to implement them to add depth and knowledge to our practice.
We will also discuss ways to modify challenging postures and learn to adapt our practice to acknowledge our body type.
A key part of this workshop will be questions you have about your own practice and discussing ways to make progress. In this spirit, this workshop will be useful for new and existing students who have either practiced for a while and wish to refine their postures and equally those who are new to yoga and want to learn “the basics”.
