Hosted by Naturopathic Nutritionist Kate Knapik and Chef and founder of Tummy Tonics, Mark Taylor, the workshop will include: an explanation of what is a 'leaky gut', the role and the importance of healthy microbiome (aka beneficial bacteria); how to support optimal digestion; and the role of pre and probiotic foods.
There will also be a practical presentation on how to make gut-friendly foods along with a tasting session.
Kate Knapik is a naturopathic nutritionist and community pharmacist. She is a member of GPhC, BANT, ANP and CNHC. She tries to find a bridge between 'mainstream medicine' and naturopathic approach, looking at body's self healing mechanisms.
