Come and practice the Ashtanga Vinyasa Primary Series in this introduction to what makes this style of yoga so beneficial.
Whilst having a reputation as being very strong and challenging, there is room for a softer side which should be encouraged to add balance.
After practice, we will take time to discuss modifying some of the more difficult poses, the main themes of the sequence, as well as the use of bandhas (internal energy locks), drishti (gazing points) and breath (ujjayi).
This workshop is for students who are looking for a yoga practice that is physically and mentally stimulating. On the back of this workshop you should feel able to join in with Ashtanga classes and ideally begin to develop a self-practice you can work on at home.
“Yoga is an internal practice. The rest is just a circus.” Sri. K Pattabhi Jois
