An evening of gentle explorative breath based movements, restorative yoga, guided relaxation and meditation.
Beginning with meditative, gentle, restorative movement we move into our bodies and meet ourselves where we are to fully release any stress, providing a focus for our restless minds which is necessary to complete the stress response, bringing our nervous system back to a regulated, balanced state.
The awareness created as the mind quietens, helps us to be less reactive and judgemental, moving away from the stress-inducing ‘fixing and doing' of habitual patterns of thoughts . If we’re not ‘present’ then our mind is darting between the past or the future.
