with Guest Teacher Adam Hocke
Inversions and Arm Balances for Everybody - Handstand, Forearmstand and Crow.
We are delighted to welcome Adam Hocke, a long-time teacher of vinyasa flow and restorative yoga at triyoga London, and senior student and assistant to Jason Crandell, to Central Wellness for two special workshops.
Where do you begin with these complicated postures that make strong demands on strength and flexibility? Is the effort worth it? This workshop will help you find your entry point into these most demanding of yoga shapes in a way that is accessible to all levels. We will explore the effects arm balances and inversions have on your nervous system and find your unique path to getting up, staying up, and getting down in one piece. Together we will embrace the challenge and joy that these postures provide.
Adam enjoys teaching new groups of students and opening them up to different approaches to postures, flow and contextualising practice, to physically awaken and renew the body and mind.
His writing has appeared at Huffington Post and in Om Yoga Magazine. He also teaches streaming classes on Movement for Modern Life.
Adam will also be teaching an afternoon workshop – What is Savasana - how to practise for rest and renewal.
