In the month of love, our Yin practice will focus on the heart meridian.
Taking St Valentine as our inspiration, this evening will focus on heart-opening poses which counteract our tendency to close the front of the body during winter. Freeing up our heart meridian is associated with joy and happiness, and naturally works the chest, shoulders and arms.
Yin is a quiet yet challenging style of yoga. All poses are floor-based and we stay in them for between 2 and 8 minutes, which enables deep release of connective tissues that can restrict our range of movement.
Yin yoga is accessible to all – complete beginners to advanced.
