With Jo Davey
By nature, Yin Yoga is very quiet, calm and still, yet it remains a powerful practice.
Poses are mainly floor-based and are held for between two and five minutes, in order to release deep-seated tension within the connective tissues of the body.
Remaining in poses for time brings a meditative quality to the style, so the practice can be profound for both body and mind.
As we move into Spring, we will seek to gently awaken our energy. The asana sequence will relate to the liver and gall bladder meridians, which support the body’s natural digestive and detoxification functions.
Yin Yoga is accessible to all – complete beginners to advanced.
