Tuesdays, 15, 22 & 29 January & 5 February, 6.30pm - 8.30pm
with Alison Harris
In a series of four small group workshops with Wellness Consultant Alison Harris, we will kick start the New Year and discover ways to change our eating, sleeping, thinking and doing habits for the better.
By understanding why we want to make changes, setting clear intentions and exploring the resources we need to achieve and maintain them, we can support and greatly improve our long term physical and mental wellbeing.
All sessions include learning through discussion, paired and group activities, and self-reflection.
Eat - 15th January
Have you noticed how we are bombarded with conflicting information about what to and what not to eat? In this workshop, we cut through the confusion. I’ll share the latest nutritional research and ideas for maintaining a healthy, balanced and common-sense approach to food choices. We will challenge unhelpful beliefs we hold about our eating habits and discover how to get the most out of the nutrients from food.
Sleep - 22nd January
We take a fascinating look at what sleep really is, how much we need and why it’s vital for every cell in the body. We’ll explore good sleep hygiene and discuss why our environment, habits, thoughts and feelings can impact on the quality and quantity of a good night’s sleep.
Think - 29th January Around 95% of what we now believe was learned before the age of seven – and most of it is not necessarily true! These beliefs drive our thoughts, which create feelings that impact on how we act and therefore affect our lives. We will discover our own limiting beliefs, and work through simple techniques that can help to replace them with ones we want instead, to improve our mental and emotional wellbeing.
Do - 5th February
As a follow-on from workshop three, we look at why it’s so hard to change and maintain eating, sleeping and thinking patterns, for example, did you know we are genetically pre-programmed to give up easily and think the worst? However, we can improve this through re-training our brains and practising a range of simple strategies to keep us focused, on track and moving forward!
£15 for a single workshop, or £50 for all four workshops.
(If booking for all four, please book for the first workshop and select the £50 option)
