Chakra Dancing is a beautiful heart centred workout for your mind, body and soul for anyone who wants to see more freedom and flow in all areas of their lives.
Music and movement have played an integral part in the well-being of the human psyche, and Chakra Dancing brings us home to our roots honouring ourselves in self-expression, self- awareness, self-empowerment. It’s a space to speak out those gremlins and dance past the chains that we form through our daily lives.
Chakra Dancing works through each of the 7 energy centres, stimulating the natural flow of energy or ‘chi’ through the body. Using an eclectic mix of global influences from tribal dancing, funky soul, Latino to Tai Chi the class will leave you re-energised and more in balance. During the dance, we might find that areas of our lives that are not in flow, come up and this is an important part of the identifying and healing process.
No co-ordination needed, no set movements to follow. Just the willingness to have some fun by letting yourself flow with the music. Classes will also involve a meditation pre-and post the dance, some time for reflection and learning. During the dance, there might be a whole host of options which are available for you to engage with, to enhance your experience, such as playing instruments, journaling, drawing, chanting and more. No session is the same.
