Our Yoga classes at Central Wellness are grouped into two levels. Level 1 is very much beginner friendly and accessible to everyone. Level 2 classes would be best approached having had some experience of yoga previously as they can involve more complex postures or more advanced themes that both require a solid foundation. (NB. There are always exceptions so please get in touch if you are unsure). Level 1/2 is for all levels with progressions given to those wishing to advance their practice. A colour system is also in place to help those new to a yoga practice, the lighter colour classes are beginner friendly with more challenging classes a darker colour.

A surprisingly challenging practice of holding postures for between 3-5 minutes with the intention of creating space in the body and quiet in the mind. Most postures are floor based and sequences are often centred around the flow of energy around the pelvis and spine.

This class combines the flowing strength and flexibility intensity of a Vinyasa class with the energetic and hormonal upgrade of Kundalini class. This class may also include breathing exercises, guided meditation, and mantra. You will get a great workout, an energetic upgrade and leave class with a sense of inner peace. All levels are welcome and please feel free to go at your own pace and use suggested modifications (or your own) if necessary.

The primary aim of Kundalini yoga is to awaken the kundalini energy, which lies coiled like a snake at the base of the spine. We unlock this energy with a unique combination of asanas (postures), pranayama (breathing), mantra (sound) and meditation that is threaded together into a specific sequence that targets an aspect of self to develop. Each class is uplifting, energizing and transformative, with a particular focus to breathe as you move, while you connect with awareness and acceptance. Kundalini Yoga is so much more than just a workout. It is a yoga in which you can balance your hormones, strengthen your spine, expand your consciousness and improve your health, flexibility and creativity. All classes are suitable for beginners to advanced students of yoga.

This is a practice designed to promote relaxation and a sense of calm. The use of cushions, bolsters and blankets are part of a practice to lower stress levels and bring the student to a deeply quiet, tranquil space. Can also alleviate common lifestyle induced conditions such as headaches, backaches and anxiety.

The Sun studio is a beautiful natural light filled space upstairs purpose designed for yoga with infra red heating and wooden floors and fully equipped.

On the ground floor the Moon studio is a more reflective space used for a range of classes as well as holistic health treatment such as therapeutic massage, acupuncture and private yoga sessions.
